Meet the Expressions Team!
About the Pastors:
Brandon and Valerie met at Bethany University in 2010. Both were preparing to fulfill their life calling to ministry, and after a whrilwind love story, they were married in 2011. After serving at New Hope Santa Cruz (formerly known as Coast Chapel) from 2013-2019, Brandon served at Silicon Valley Christian Assembly in Santa Clara while Valerie joined to rotation of worship leaders for the English Ministry. In 2021, they left to plant a digital ministry in the Sierras until the Lord called them back to the Bay Area resulting in the planting of what would be come to be known as
Expressions Church Palo Alto.
More about the Primary Founder:
Pastor Valerie Fillpot is a licensed pastor with the Foursquare Church, and decades of of experience in various ministry leadership roles. Her passion across whatever she does is leading people into the loving, unmatched presence of Jesus, and experiencing the power of the Holy Spirit in one's every day life. She believes there is nothing that can replace the joy and peace of being in relationship with the one true and living God, Jesus Christ.
You may recognize Pastor Valerie as she has also been a long-time instructor at the New Mozart School of Music, here in Palo Alto since 2015. There, she has made it her mission to spread the love of Jesus to her many students and colleagues over the years. It was because of this love for her students and their families that God put the desire in her heart to plant a church in Palo Alto back in April of 2024. Today, she celebrates, seeing what God is finally bringing together! He is faithful!
