What do we mean by "Expressions"
What is an Expression?
At Expressions Palo Alto, we believe in bringing Jesus to the forefront of daily living through instances and events we call "expressions". We see this modeled throughout Jesus' ministry from highly-relational, one-on-one conversations to the teaching of thousands. By living our relationship with Jesus outwardly, we create opportunities for people to engage with faith, healing, and relationship with God.
Are we a church?
The best answer is "almost" (possibly yes depending on when you are reading this). At the moment, we do not function as a traditional church model with Sunday services, liturgy, etc. We are focused on BEING the church instead of simply DOING church. We are sharing our faith, encouraging others, meeting needs, and growing our core team to love on Palo Alto in a creative, powerful way that God has put on our hearts.
Who are the Pastors?
Valerie and Brandon Fillpot are the founding pastors of Expressions P.A. Valerie is an East Bay native who, over the past decade, has used her gift of music to inspire the children of Palo Alto and surrounding areas with the LOVE of music. Brandon is a digital missionary and founder of Digital Creators for Christ, a nonprofit focused on utilizing digital tools to reach the online community. Together, they are licensed and appointed as church planters by the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel.
